Clinical Anatomy (University Hospital Tübingen)
Description
The Transfer Lab for Research and Translation is a collaborative project aimed at promoting knowledge transfer between universities and clinical practice in the field of digital surgery. The aim of the community project is to promote the interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and to transfer innovative approaches into clinical routine in a targeted manner. To this end, two transfer laboratories are being implemented for research and translation in a technical scenario at Reutlingen University and in a clinical scenario at Tübingen University Hospital. This will enable the vision of an intelligent operating theater, which requires a high degree of interoperability of medical systems and devices, to be advanced and a platform for the development and testing of integrated systems to be provided. Other community projects can already use the transfer laboratories for their projects.
Goals
Realistic development and test infrastructure
Provision of a technical environment for the development and testing of integrated systems.
Reproducible integration tests
Implementation of systematic, semi-automated risk analyses and conformity assessments for integrated systems.
Simulation of surgical processes
Simulation of a realistic surgical operation for different application scenarios.
Interdisciplinary knowledge transfer
Promoting the exchange between research institutions and clinical practice.
